Who we are

Access to school is not the same as access to opportunity.

The learners ELO exists for

The energy and curiosity are already there in every classroom ELO reaches. What's missing is consistent access to opportunity — and that's the gap this organization exists to close.

Tanzania has made real progress expanding access to education — but access alone hasn't closed the gap in quality, relevance, and delivery. Many students finish school without the reading, writing, digital, and practical skills they need to thrive, while teachers face heavy workloads and little support.

ELO exists because these problems are connected. We build teacher support, literacy, technology, and mentorship into one model, starting in Tanzania with a long-term vision of expanding across East Africa.

Our core problem statement

If unaddressed, Tanzania will keep producing discouraged teachers, disengaged learners, and unemployed graduates.

ELO exists to close that gap through education that is relevant, inclusive, creative, technology-driven, and supportive of both teachers and learners.
